Play-N-Skillz is a Grammy-winning Latin/American record production and DJ duo hailing from Dallas, Texas, comprised of brothers Juan “Play” Salinas and Oscar “Skillz” Salinas. They have achieved critical acclaim for their production work, winning Grammys for songs like “Ridin'” by Chamillionaire and Krayzie Bone in 2007 and Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” in 2008, which featured their production on “Got Money.”
In 2011, they transitioned into the EDM scene and collaborated with David Guetta, co-writing and arranging hits like “Where Them Girls At” featuring Nicki Minaj and Flo Rida. Play-N-Skillz’s journey continued with a tour alongside Redfoo of LMFAO and their contribution to his solo album, including the multi-platinum hit “New Thang.”
In 2019, they produced and co-wrote the worldwide diamond single “Con Calma” for Daddy Yankee, even releasing a remix featuring Katy Perry. Besides their music career, they’ve ventured into various business endeavors, serving as creative directors at CTM Latin Music Publishing and owning a share in the company. Additionally, they established a state-of-the-art music studio in Miami, Florida, in 2020, where they manage their diverse partnerships. In March 2022, they contributed to six songs on Daddy Yankee’s final album, “LEGENDADDY,” which debuted at #1 globally, further cementing their legacy.
